Rodolpho Riskalla

Since 1998, Rodolpho Riskalla has been a leading figure in Brazilian Dressage, earning national champion titles and representing his country with distinction. In 2014, he began working at Christian Dior Couture while continuing to train and compete at an elite level. The following year, in August 2015, Rodolpho contracted bacterial meningitis, spending over two weeks in a coma and facing life-changing amputations. After six months of rehabilitation near Paris, his determination and passion for the sport saw him return to competition. Less than a year later, with the support of friends, the Brazilian Equestrian Federation, and Dior Couture, he represented Brazil at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games, achieving a strong team ranking and placing tenth individually. In recognition of his resilience, he received the FEI “Against All Odds” Award in November 2016. Rodolpho went on to win a silver medal at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, two silver medals at the 2018 World Equestrian Games in Tryon, USA, and two bronze medals at the 2022 World Championships in Herning, Denmark. Most recently, in 2024, he finished seventh at the Paris Paralympic Games, was crowned Brazilian National Champion, and achieved fifth place in the FEI World Rankings.
