Equine America is a traditional, family run business with over two decades of experience with equine supplements.
Equine America was founded in 1997 by Phil and Julie Middleton and is now run by their son Lee. In 2018 Lee brought on board world-leading equine nutritionist Deborah Lucas MSc.Eq.S., CBiol., R.Nutr. and moved all production from the US to the UK. Deborah is now instrumental in the design and formulation of all Equine America products, from the original Cortaflex® to an extensive range of highly effective supplements and external applications for horses, pets and people.
All Equine America products are manufactured in the UK in food industry standard factories, using only the most fresh, innovative and effective ingredients available from approved suppliers. We use state of the art, unique, fingerprint laser quality testing on all our ingredients. This ensures a uniform strength and quality along with an exclusive mixing process which ensures that each scoop contains equal amounts of active ingredients. Our“30-day money back guarantee” reinforces the total confidence which we have in all our products.
EA Nutra - New Product Range From Equine America
Since it's launch in 1997, Equine America has become one of the UK's leading names in equine nutrition with an extensive range of feed supplements and externals from Cortaflex to Xxtra Boost. Our new brand EA Nutra follows the traditional family values synonymous with Equine America but will enable us to make a new range of premium, innovative products for the domestic and international market. EA Nutra products will still be subject to rigorous independent testing in the UK & Europe and quality control, but will not be accredited under The Universal Feed Assurance Scheme (UFAS) and the BETA NOPS Scheme.
Equine America CEO Lee Middleton said “We are extremely proud of our UFAS & BETA NOPS accreditation for our Equine America and Cortaflex ranges. It has, however, limited us somewhat in the development of new products due to the restrictions enforced by the NOPS code on the use of ingredients. By launching a new brand under EA Nutra, we can respond to the demand from our customers who are looking for specific products as well as introducing new revolutionary ingredients to the equestrian market.”
The new range will still be subjected to rigorous testing. EA Nutra products will be independently batch tested by two world renowned testing facilities, Laboratoire Des Courses Hippiques in France and Independent Equine Nutrition in the UK to ensure products are free from prohibited substances in accordance with FEI Regulations and therefore safe for use in competition.
Deborah was instrumental to the re-formulation of Equine America products following the move to UK manufacturing in 2018. She is now heavily involved in the the design and development of all our product ranges, including EA Nutra.
